Marriage: What God has joined, let no man divide.

As Catholics, the Sacrament of Marriage (or Holy Matrimony) is a public sign that one gives oneself totally to another person. Through a vow made before family, community and God, marriage represents a commitment to creating life and nurturing life by caring for one another. By offering their lives to one another, couples also unite their union to the offering that Christ made to his Church.

Preparation for the Sacrament of Marriage begins by setting an appointment with one of our Priests or our Marriage Preparation Coordinator.  Please submit an inquiry via the form below at least 9 months prior to your desired wedding date.  Our Marriage Preparation Coordinator will call you back within 24-48 hours to set a date and time for your initial orientation meeting.  During this meeting you will be introduced to the marriage preparation process at the Franciscan Renewal Center, as prescribed by the Catholic Diocese of Phoenix. At this meeting, you will also choose your wedding date and rehearsal date.  Please note that we can not reserve your wedding date and rehearsal date prior to this meeting.
