Spiritual Discovery

Share and discern new perspectives

Being Present to Discover the Presence of God

Spiritual Discovery can be a social experience, too, that is all the richer because it is enjoyed with others. Certain opportunities for learning, discussion and discernment begin by being present and willing to encounter the presence of God in others. The activities below are distinct from Programs & Retreats because they may be self-directed or include a social component, such as travel, discussion, or debate. Groups meet regularly and welcome your interest at any time.

Check the Calendar of Events for all of these activities and more.

JustFaith

JF logo (2)This 30-week educational and faith-formation program is a spiritual journey into compassion for others. JustFaith is a national program that transforms people to answer Christ’s call to care for the poor or vulnerable. The program accomplishes this by reading, prayer and discussion about real-world problems or policy gaps. JustFaith helps participants become increasingly aware of the remarkable justice tradition in the Catholic Church.

JustMatters

Groups of 8-15 people form for JustMatters to focus on a singular area of social concern — such as consumerism or energy policy — for 6- to 8-weeks. The program format includes prayer, readings, videos, and dialogue during those weeks — culminating in a call to engaged action.

The experiences sponsored by the Franciscan Renewal Center in collaboration with Franciscan Pilgrimage Programs provide a journey that adds a new dimension to everything we have ever done. Through discovery, prayer, relaxation and enjoyment, we offer you a glance at yourself and our world through the windows of gratitude and hope as mirrored in the lives of Sts.
