Sustaining and growing the Casa's capacity

Donate to the Casa Easily and Securely Online

The Franciscan Renewal Center — the “Casa de Paz y Bien” or simply, “the Casa”— is a 501 c 3 nonprofit dedicated to spiritual growth, healing and transformation, and service to others in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi. Financial gifts are needed each year to sustain the Casa’s many ministries and 25-acre campus.

Donations can be made:
By phone: Call Michael Stephan, Director of Development, at 602.206.6952 or Charles Brown at 602.672.3520 or Sue Force, Donor Relations Officer, at 480.355.5631.

Mail: (check made payable to “Franciscan Renewal Center) Franciscan Renewal Center, 5802 E. Lincoln Dr., Scottsdale, AZ 85253

Unsolicited online and mail-in gifts are directed to the Casa’s general operating budget to support the greatest needs during the year.

Great Tax Saving News for those 70 ½ and over!

We encourage those of you in our community who are over 70 1/2 years of age to consider making a donation directly from your IRA to the Franciscan Renewal Center — this may be used for pledge payments, liturgical gifts, endowment, one-time gifts,or other purposes.

Individuals over 70 1/2 must take a required minimum distribution (RMD) from their IRA each year. The amount distributed from the IRA is reported as
income to the recipient and is included on their tax return along with other taxable income. The tax code, however, allows individuals to direct all or part of their RMD to a qualified charity, such as the FRC, meaning that the amount of that distribution may not result in any taxable income.

Thank you for considering this great way to save some tax money and to support the Casa. Please check with your tax advisor for the best options for your situation.

Other ways to give:

Fry’s Community Rewards Program

You can support the Casa when you shop at Fry’s Food Stores. Sign up for Fry’s Community Rewards Program and select the Franciscan Renewal Center as your charity of choice.

Employer Matching Gifts

Does your employer match your charitable contributions? If so, you can double your impact at the Casa. Some companies also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses to qualified 501 (c) 3 organizations. Before making your contribution, find out if your workplace will match it.  If they do, kindly let us to know, as employer payments may arrive separately and without your name. We want to be sure to thank you! Questions? Contact the Sustainability office.

United Way Workforce Campaign

Does your workplace participate in the United Way? If so, you can make a contribution to the Casa from each paycheck. Simply check “Restricted Contribution” or “Option C” on the United Way pledge form and write in “Franciscan Renewal Center” as the agency of your choice. Thank you!

The Casa is grateful for all gifts of time, talent & treasure. If you would like to find ways to give of your time and talent as a volunteer, click here to explore opportunities.
