Peace Award Nomination Form

Nonviolence-Logo-ClippedWho do you know who exemplifies peace? Who can “turn the other cheek” and still stand as a courageous, influential testament to the power of peace?

We believe peaceful relationships begin with honoring God’s presence in all living things — great and small, human, animal, plant or mineral. Following in the tradition of St. Francis of Assisi, the Franciscan Renewal Center (“the Casa”) observes, honors and participates in the International Season for Nonviolence, which is 64 days in length. In addition to the 64 days, we highlight the entire year with events focused on peace.

In 2011, the Franciscan Renewal Center established the Casa Peace Award to recognize those who are dedicated to promoting peace and nonviolence in significant ways and contributions toward achieving peace. If you know someone in your family, neighborhood, at work, in school, in your community or in the world who — not only believes in peace but also — works to promote peace in a significant way, please enter his/her name into nomination for the Casa Peace Award.
