Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministries: Adam Stein

Adam brings 7 years of significant experience working directly with young people in Catholic youth ministry.  He has worked with youths in junior high, high school and college.  His most recent position before joining us at the Franciscan Renewal Center as the Director of Youth Ministry was at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Phoenix, where he worked as the Director of Youth Ministry and Director of Music for the Saturday 5pm Mass.

Adam has been playing music all his life and has studied music at both ASU and Grand Canyon University.   He has worked and led praise & worship on youth retreats for many Phoenix area churches.  In 2003, Adam released his first CD titled "Broken Before You." From that project and work as a concert promoter, Adam was honored to open for Grammy award-winning band Jars of Clay at their Phoenix show in 2004. He is working on his 2nd CD, to be titled "Wash Me Clean." Adam hopes to have the album completed in the coming year.

Adam married his beautiful wife, Kelly, on May 12, 2006. They welcomed the birth of their first son, Kai Maccabee, on March 23rd, 2008 & their second son, Zuri Hopper, on September 30, 2009. He is excited about his work here at the Casa and looks forward to sharing more information about the program with you in the upcoming weeks.
