Thousands of people from a wide variety of spiritual traditions have found themselves drawn to the mysterious and prayerful images found in the icons of Eastern Christianity. In this workshop, participants will experience step-by-step instructions to start and complete an icon. All materials will be provided. Discussions include: the development of iconography; praying with icons and the spirituality of creating an icon, plus related issues. Additional materials and texts to further the pursuit of iconography will be available. Every session begins and ends with prayer. This includes a blessing of icons created during our time together.

Instructor(s): Peter Pearson has studied under Russian iconographer Dr. Nina Bouroff, Philip Zimmerman at the Damascus Academy of Sacred Arts (an Orthodox school of icon painting), Nicholas Papas and several other noted iconographers. He also graduated magna cum laude from St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, WI, where he earned a Master's of Divinity. Commuter: $240 per person, includes program and lunch Monday-Thursday.
Single lodging: $425 per person, includes lodging, meals and program for 3 nights & 4 days.
Double lodging: $355 per person, includes lodging, meals and program for 3 nights & 4 days.
